BIOGRAPHY

My paintings combine  experimentation, expression and movement along with many other influences. The tension between freedom and control brings out the unexpected and this is where I find the possibility to create.

I'm drawn to the depths of what lies beneath;
in colour, layers and marks. The covering and uncovering of areas  with acrylic paint, crayon, pencil, ink and charcoal reveal new textures that work together to form a piece of work that has connection with simplicity and complexity.
